November marked another outstanding milestone for Saudi polo, as the Riyadh Polo Team claimed victory at Chestertons Polo in the Park Dubai for the third consecutive year, further reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s growing presence on the international polo stage.
Our President & CEO, Mr. Fahad Abunayyan, attended the prestigious event, which added yet another global achievement to the Kingdom’s sporting successes. The victory was dedicated to the Kingdom’s leadership: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Minister of Sports, in recognition of their continued support for sports development in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Fahad congratulated the Riyadh Polo Team, led by Team Captain Mr. Khalid Al Omran, along with team members Rayan AlAjaji, Santos Iriarte, and Tomy Iriarte, on their exceptional performance throughout the tournament.
The event was attended by global business leaders and senior executives. Mr. Fahad was joined by Mr. Ben Schwenk, Senior Vice President of Hill International, Mr. James Duncan, as well as long-standing friends and business partners.
This year’s edition featured two highly competitive matches that delivered thrilling moments for spectators. The Hill International Team Riyadh secured a decisive victory over Chestertons Team Mumbai, earning the team its third Chestertons Polo in the Park Dubai title and fifth overall trophy across Chestertons Polo in the Park events. In the second match, The Berkeley Group Team London demonstrated strong teamwork and skill in a well-earned win against the IBV Gold Team Dubai.
Held at Desert Palm Polo Club, the 2025 edition welcomed more than 300 distinguished guests, combining world-class polo with Dubai’s renowned hospitality. The event also marked the finale of Chestertons’ 220-year anniversary celebrations, highlighting the brand’s legacy of heritage, innovation, and global community engagement.
Adding a meaningful charitable dimension, Chestertons, through the Chestertons Foundation, partnered with Make-A-Wish UAE. A live painting by artist Ben Mosley was auctioned in support of the charity, reflecting the event’s spirit of generosity, compassion, and social impact.
Mr. Fahad expressed his appreciation to Chestertons and the event organizers, SportsGate, led by Mr. Rory Heron and his team, for their exceptional efforts in delivering another successful edition of this global polo event.
