The Saudi Open Presented by PIF concluded on 13 December 2025 at Dirab Golf & Country Club, marking a landmark moment for golf in the Kingdom. Sweden’s Björn Hellgren claimed the championship title, while Japan’s Kazuki Higa secured a historic milestone by becoming the first Japanese player to win the Asian Tour Order of Merit.

Founded in 1992, Dirab Golf & Country Club has played a foundational role in the development of the sport in the Kingdom, and the successful staging of the Saudi Open highlighted the remarkable progress Saudi golf has made on the international stage.
Held from 10 to 13 December 2025, the Asian Tour’s season-ending championship delivered four days of top-level international competition, alongside one of the strongest Arab and Saudi player contingents in the tournament’s history—underscoring the rapid growth of golf across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
Björn Hellgren secured victory after a tightly contested final round, finishing one stroke ahead of Australia’s Jack Thompson. The tournament also served as a defining moment on the Asian Tour calendar, with Kazuki Higa’s Order of Merit triumph confirmed following his performance at the Saudi Open.
The successful delivery of the event further reinforced Saudi Arabia’s expanding golf ecosystem and its ability to host major international sporting competitions, reflecting the Kingdom’s broader commitment to sports development and global engagement under Vision 2030.
