Our President & CEO, Fahad Abunayyan, had the privilege of attending The POLO Final in Wellington at The USPA National POLO Center. The prestigious event was organized by his dear friend, Adrian Simonetti, owner of the renowned Polo brand, LA MARTINA. Mr. Fahad was delighted to be joined by esteemed colleagues and friends from the Polo world, including Joseph P. Meyer, former Chairman of The United States Polo Association, Alejandro Grimaldi, Antonio Chagoury, and other distinguished guests.
The highlight of the event was The C.V. Whitney Cup, the opening tournament of the Gauntlet of Polo, presented by TruBar. The final match featured an intense showdown between Coca-Cola (Gillian Johnston, Lorenzo Chavanne, Pablo “Polito” Pieres, Julian de Lusarreta) and La Dolfina/Tamera (Alejandro Poma, Matt Coppola*, Diego Cavanagh, Adolfo Cambiaso). In a thrilling and closely contested game, La Dolfina/Tamera emerged victorious with an 11-10 win. This remarkable achievement marked Adolfo Cambiaso’s tenth C.V. Whitney Cup title, further solidifying his legacy in the sport. Cambiaso was also honored with the Most Valuable Player award, and his team’s Best Playing Pony was recognized.
